Sculpture Garden, The House & Senate, and
the National Archives
Cape May Court
House. Put March 5th on your
social calendar and join Access to Art as
they visit Washington D.C. for a day in the
city including a tour of the Library of
Congress, with a special exhibit with
curator, Beverly Brannon, on 30’s artists
and photographers, whom Access had shows for
in its early days, a tour of the House &
Senate, and a visit to the Hirshhorn Museum
& Sculpture Garden or the Air and Space
Museum. Lunch will be in Georgetown on your

We are considering visiting the National
Archives where they have all the original
documents of war treaties, letters written
by Presidents in their own handwriting,
the original
Declaration of Independence and the
Constitution documents, etc., the end of
World War II, etc.
“Washington is a
fascinating city, with so much of our
nation’s history stored in both the Library
of Congress, and National Archives, and
wonderful modern art at the Hirshhorn Museum
& Sculpture Garden which features a huge
mobile by Calder among its many jewels.”
Barbara Beitel, director of Access to Art,
said.
We are looking for
restaurants in Georgetown to have lunch at
some of their marvelous ethnic restaurants.
Lunch will be on your own, although we will
take you to the area with the restaurants.”
She said.

Photo/Print Division is putting together a
small exhibit of the artists that we had

Standard Oil, which chronicled the use of
oil in America. Bernarda worked in the
graphics department of the WPA. Louise
Rosskam, photographer, whose husband Edwin,
was the file editor for the Farm Security
Administration has works there from Puerto

eight photographers who took the black and
